Kurt and Abegail first crossed paths on December 12, 2015, at a friend’s house. What started as casual conversations soon blossomed into a genuine friendship that spanned through 2015 and 2016.

By late 2016, their bond had deepened, and Kurt decided to take a chance—he asked Abegail to be his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day 2017. But ever the non-traditional romantic, Abegail turned him down, saying it was too cliché. Still, that didn’t stop them. In fact, it brought them closer—especially after Kurt found Penny, Abegail’s beloved French bulldog.

On December 12, 2017, exactly two years after they first met, Kurt asked again. This time, the timing felt perfect—and Abegail said yes.

In March 2018, Kurt traveled to Batanes to meet Abegail’s family. That visit began their shared love for the island, returning with friends in both 2018 and 2019.

From 2017 to 2024, their love grew in everyday moments—concert nights, travel adventures, yoga sessions, and quiet evenings at home. They explored Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, and more, but Batanes always called them back.

On June 27, 2024, surrounded by her sister and cousins at Boulder Beach, Batanes, Kurt got down on one knee. She said yes.

They had their civil wedding on March 28, 2025—and now, they’re ready to celebrate their next chapter with the people they love.
